Biomass equivalent to 7% of global energy use is lost to fire every year
Biomass is an undervalued carrier of energy with an electricity-equivalent energy density 4x that of Li-ion batteries. Current open air burning causes widespread air pollution and unused biomass decays to release methane, both affecting the climate.
