We are a Christchurch based start up on a mission to take the diesel out of food. This year we are flat out constructing our first 150hp advanced steam tractor and we require an up and coming engineer to join our crew. Welding and machining precision parts will be your bread and butter, so you must have an appreciation for hitting tight tolerances, be highly sensitive to surface finish and be ready to learn what good looks like.

Prior experience and a working knowledge of manual lathes, mills, TIG welding and safe workshop practices is useful. At the same time, experience is not necessary and we are happy to bring the right person up to scratch as long as they have a professional attitude and a passion for doing things well. Candidates will work towards a welding certification if they don’t already have one. After a trial period you will be employed on a full time contract at $25 per hour.
